Trellis and 8 Cannabis Companies Launch the "Future of Cannabis Retail" Campaign to Help the Industry Evolve into a Collaborative Ecosystem
OAKLAND, Calif. (PRWEB) May 20, 2018 -- Trellis (https://trellisgrows.com), the leading seed-to-sale inventory management software provider in the cannabis industry, along with Baker, a best-in-class CRM for the cannabis industry, and seven other cannabis companies, had a successful kick-off for a new campaign and movement, Future of Cannabis Retail. The initiative was first conceptualized by Baker, who pooled together leaders in the tech and cannabis industries to help evolve from a largely fragmented industry into a highly collaborative ecosystem.
Coinciding with 4/20 (the unofficial cannabis holiday), Baker, used social media to launch a sneak-peak into the initiative using the hashtag #futureofcannabisretail.
After creating a significant buzz in the cannabis industry around the campaign, Trellis, Baker, and the seven other companies came together at one of the year’s most popular cannabis conferences, MJBizConNEXT in New Orleans, to kick off the campaign in full-force by debuting the short film depicting the initiative as more than a campaign, but a movement.
“The Future of Cannabis Retail campaign is an incredibly unique experiential marketing initiative that incorporates a short film to highlight the collaboration of leaders in the cannabis industry, which will not only help shape the industry but spark a movement,” said Pranav Sood, CEO of Trellis. “We couldn’t be more excited about this campaign. This will set a new bar in the cannabis industry.”
The eponymously-named short film, "Future of Cannabis Retail," debuted to a warm reception at MJBizConNEXT in New Orleans. The film gave attendees of the conference the opportunity to experience a mini IMAX-like experience on the exhibition floor.
The short film includes spoken word elements paired with motion graphics to demonstrate how data transparency and other tools can positively influence the many facets of the cannabis industry across the cannabis ecosystem, from seed-to-sale. Invoking powerful spoken word poetry, the film provides users a peek into an industry that has overcome incredible odds going from incubation to a robust, fast-growing market poised to grow to $57 billion by 2027 (Source: ArcView Market Research & BDS Analytics). The film is now available on the Future of Cannabis retail site, http://www.futureofcannabisretail.com.
"We want to bring together consumers, dispensaries, ancillary services, cultivators, and producers to take the cannabis industry further than any other industry," said Joel Milton, CEO of Baker. "We have the opportunity to transform cannabis retail and cultivate an industry that operates as a collaborative ecosystem. With the launch of the Future of Cannabis Retail movement — and support from other leading cannabis companies — our mission is to bring the industry together to set the path for trusted, responsible consumption with testing, accountability, and transparency."
To bring the campaign to life, Trellis partnered with Baker, and seven other leaders in the cannabis industry, including:
