SBA Names VEDC’s Women’s Business Center 2018 Winner of the ‘Women’s Business Center of Excellence Award’
SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. (PRWEB) May 18, 2018 -- The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named the VEDC Women’s Business Center as its 2018 recipient of the Women’s Business Center of Excellence Award. A special gala for honorees is scheduled at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California, May 29th – one of several SBA events following National Small Business Week earlier in the month.
In making the announcement, SBA’s District Director Victor Parker singled out Ruth Garcia-Corrales, Director of the VEDC Women’s Business Center, for her accomplishments. “Your hard work, innovative ideas, and dedication to your employees and community have helped you build an outstanding business that has strengthened California’s economy,” he said. “The SBA is pleased to celebrate your achievements and recognize your personal role in driving our nations’ economic growth.”
Created to promote the growth of woman-owned businesses, the VEDC Women’s Business Center offers a wide range of robust services, including one-on-one consulting, educational courses, workshops and training on a myriad of topics from how to write a small business plan to highly targeted marketing and sales strategies.
