India Network Foundation Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary by Providing 1 Month Free Visitor Health Insurance to Members and their Visitors Travelling to the United States
ORLANDO, Fla. (PRWEB) May 25, 2018 -- The India Network Foundation is a non-profit organization founded with the mission to serve the Asian Indian community around the World and support Researchers & Scholars interested in studying India. Started as the first internet resource for India related news and events in 1988, the India Network Foundation has established itself as the first and foremost resource on India and India related issues. The concept of virtual communities was first introduced by India network to internet community in late eighties.India Network started sponsoring accident and sickness programs to help students initially, extending to H1 workers and their families and then to parents and grandparents.
At its inception, India Network Foundation received support from Sun Micro systems, Microsoft and Cisco among others. Their generous donation of a Sun Workstation in 1988 provided the ground work and infrastructure needed to build this community organization. India Network first began as a way to distribute news from India to the Indian diaspora around the world when disseminating information was still in its infancy. Since then, India Network started sponsoring the health insurance programs for visitors to the United States in an effort to support the community further.
Celebrating 30 years, India Network Foundation wants to thank its members for their support throughout the years by providing ONE month free insurance to all visitors from India to the United States irrespective of their age (0-99 years). Member supported projects include Gujarat Earthquake Relief, Orissa Cyclone Relief, distributing maps to various elementary schools throughout India, and an on-going effort to build mineral water stations to provide clean water for villagers in India.
