Sharon Murphy’s New Book “The Hobby of Bird Watching” is an Educational Work About the Different Activities Birds Engage in that Bird-watchers can Observe
INDIAN LAND, S.C. (PRWEB) May 29, 2018 -- Sharon Murphy, a schoolteacher and a passionate writer, has completed her new book “The Hobby of Bird Watching”: an informative work that features the birds in her backyard and the wonders one can see upon bird-watching.
Author Murphy describes how captivating it is to watch birds: “Watching birds take pine needles, grass, and pieces of string to their nesting site is interesting. Different kinds of birds take different things to build their nest. Sometimes birds get moss from a hanging plant or lint from a dryer that someone threw outside. Birds like a soft nest for their babies.
Once the birds finished building their nest, they lay their eggs in it. The momma bird sits on the eggs to keep them warm for about nine to fifteen days, depending on what type of bird it is. Sometimes the daddy bird takes turns sitting on the eggs. That way the momma bird can go out to find something to eat too. We have had Eastern bluebirds build a nest in a gourd birdhouse. We also have had Carolina wrens build nests in flowerpots and on windowsills.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Sharon Murphy’s riveting work encourages everyone to observe birds and make it a hobby—it is not only an interesting activity, but also an educational one. One also does not have to travel far to do so, because birds can be observed even in a place as near as a backyard.
Readers who wish to experience this must-read work can purchase “The Hobby of Bird Watching” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, Kobo or Barnes and Noble.
