Access Partners with athenahealth’s ‘More Disruption Please’ Program
SULPHER SPRINGS, Texas (PRWEB) May 31, 2018 -- Access, a provider of paperless eForms and electronic patient signatures, today announced a partnership with athenahealth, Inc. through athenahealth’s ‘More Disruption Please’ (MDP) program. As part of the athenahealth® Marketplace, this newly integrated application is now available to athenahealth’s growing network of more than 106,000 healthcare providers for transforming slow, manual, paper-based processes into fast, automated, and fully electronic workflows.
The Access solution enables staff to present patients with fillable eForms that they quickly complete and securely authorize with electronic signatures on PC, iPad, and many other devices. The completed documentation is then sent directly into the patient’s electronic chart and is immediately available to clinicians and other authorized personnel throughout the facility, with none of the usual paper-related delays.
The Access system can be used in multiple areas of any physician practice or hospital. In admissions, a clerk completes the registration process in athenaNet and then clicks the “Access Passport” button to launch the Access system. They then select the required forms, which are launched at their workstation, to collect electronic patient signatures using LCD devices or a touch-screen monitor. Alternatively, the clerk can “hand off” the eForms to an iPad that the patient uses to complete and electronically sign them.
Both forms completion and electronic signature options are also available at the bedside and in other clinical settings. In addition, Access offers an app that enables a clinician to scan a patient’s wristband, which pulls up a list of any outstanding forms that need to be completed and/or electronically signed. The clinician can also select new forms to complete for the patient. When eForms are completed and eSignatures obtained in all these scenarios, the data is automatically routed to the correct patient’s record in athenaNet, which communicates with the Access system bi-directionally.
“We’re honored to be part of the athenahealth marketplace,” said Chuck Demaree, CTO of Access. “Our eForms and eSignatures technology will allow hospitals and physician practices to speed care delivery, improve service, cut costs, and focus on patients, not paperwork.”
