@properties Gears Up for Major Expansion in West, Northwest Chicago Suburbs
CHICAGO (PRWEB) May 24, 2018 -- @properties, the largest residential brokerage firm in Chicagoland and the 11th largest brokerage firm in the United States, is undertaking a major growth initiative in Chicago’s west and northwest suburbs, hiring two industry leaders with extensive local experience and announcing a new high-profile office location in Arlington Heights.
31-year industry veteran, Stephanie Szigetvari, has joined @properties as vice president of brokerage services. She will work to grow the @properties brand throughout the northwest suburbs including the towns of Arlington Heights, Palatine, Mount Prospect, Buffalo Grove, Long Grove and Des Plaines.
Prior to joining @properties, she managed the Arlington Heights office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, a branch that produced nearly $500 million in annual sales according to BrokerMetrics, LLC. Szigetvari also was a district manager in charge of Coldwell Banker offices in Schaumburg, Park Ridge, Long Grove and Libertyville.
In conjunction with Szigetvari’s hiring, @properties announced that is has signed a lease for a new 3.800-square-foot office at 31 S. Evergreen Ave., near the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway in downtown Arlington Heights.
In the western suburbs, @properties has hired Jim Barcelona, 41, another former Coldwell Banker manager, who ran that firm’s St. Charles office, the top-selling office in the Fox Valley. Barcelona also will hold the title of vice president of brokerage services, and will focus on @properties’ expansion in the key markets of Hinsdale, Downers Grove, Naperville and the Fox Valley. The company said it will announce a new location in the area this summer.
@properties co-founders Thad Wong and Mike Golden said the moves are part of a plan to add $1.5 to $2 billion in sales volume in the west and northwest suburbs over the next two years.
“These are multi-billion-dollar markets with strong housing fundamentals, where we know we can quickly establish market share and make an immediate impact in the quality of service we offer home buyers, sellers and real estate agents,” said Wong.
“Many of these towns have been under-served in terms of real estate marketing and technology, two areas that are of vital importance to agents and consumers, and two areas where @properties offers a major competitive advantage,” added Golden.
Since its inception in 2000, @properties has been one of the fastest-growing residential brokerage firms in the country. The company captured the No. 1 market share in Chicago several years ago and currently has city market share of over 20% – more than the No. 2 and No. 3 firms combined, according to BrokerMetrics, LLC.
In 2009, @properties expanded to the suburbs, focusing on the lakefront towns of the North Shore and surrounding markets such as Northbrook and Glenview. Today the firm holds the No. 1 market share on the North Shore, claiming 24.5% of residential sales volume over the last 12 months. @properties also has more than 20% market share in Elmhurst and Libertyville, also according to BrokerMetrics, LLC.
Recently, @properties overtook Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage as the top-selling company in the entire Chicagoland area, with 11.0% market share, based on closed sales volume year to date. @properties closed over $9 billion in sales in 2017, according to industry consultant REAL Trends.
