Miltenyi Biotec Sponsors Educational Webinar on Tools for Isolation and Flow Analysis of Cells Within the Tumor Microenvironment
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (PRWEB) May 25, 2018 -- Recent advances in immuno-oncology research have demonstrated the critical role of immune cells in cancer therapy. A deep understanding of the interactions and phenotypes of immune and tumor cells within the tumor microenvironment is therefore key to developing future immune-based cancer therapy strategies.
However, the most significant challenge when working with solid tumors is the dissociation of samples prior to their use in downstream applications, such as immunomagnetic enrichment, flow cytometry, and single-cell sequencing. Furthermore, tumor cells can cause background signals and introduce bias to the analysis of immune cells.
This webinar is the second of a two-part series sponsored by Miltenyi Biotec; attendees will learn about innovative tools and solutions to increase quality of data, reduce experimental time, and ease scale-up during TIL analysis using flow cytometry. They will find out about optimized workflows for the isolation and flow cytometric phenotyping of mouse TILs, and methods to reduce biases during TIL analysis.
Dr. César Evaristo, who received his doctorate from the University of Paris Descartes, Paris, will present the webinar. After seven years as a research scientist in the US and Germany, he joined Miltenyi Biotec in 2016 as R&D team coordinator of the Tumor Immunology Group. He focuses on immuno-oncology preclinical research, target discovery, as well as oncology-related product development.
LabRoots will host the webinar on May 29, 2018, starting at 9 a.m. PDT, 5 p.m. CET. To learn more about this event, the continuing education credits offer, or to register for free, click here.
