NEW 2018 SLATE OF IMUA OFFICERS & BOARD MEMBERS ELECTED AT 88th ANNUAL MEETING
NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 31, 2018 -- Over 300 underwriters, brokers, claims personnel and key industry suppliers converged on the Hyatt Regency Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, to discuss of some of the most pressing issues of concern to the inland marine industry for the upcoming year and beyond. The event was the 88th Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA) Annual Meeting held May 20-23.
The first order of business was the announcement of the approval of the election results for the 2018 slate of officers. Richard Pye was elected the association’s Chairman. Also elected were, Bruce Jervis, Chubb as Deputy Chair and Jessica Frankovich, Seneca, as Vice Chair.
Commenting on his acceptance Rich Pye praised the work of the IMUA and its continuing commitment to advancing the goals of the inland marine industry. He said, “I am extremely honored to serve as the next chairman of such a prestigious organization as the IMUA. But more importantly, I am proud to be a part of this group of dedicated professionals and thank you, the membership, for this unique opportunity. It is extremely gratifying to witness first-hand the incredible progress the association has made over the past few years in developing the talents of so many young members of this association. Looking to my first term’s agenda, I intend to build upon our success to create an even stronger entity by furthering the education and professional development curriculum to meet the challenges that face this industry in the months and years ahead. I look forward to building an even stronger IMUA.”
Mr.Pye then recognized the hard work and dedication of William Rosa, who has served as the IMUA’s Chairperson for the past two years. “Throughout his long and distinguished career with the IMUA, Bill has always given more to this association than asked. We are all deeply grateful for his leadership in setting the course I look forward to following. I also want to recognize the incredible efforts of the IMUA staff who continually to push us to become a better organization.”

IMUA is the national association for the commercial inland marine insurance industry. IMUA serves as the voice of its member companies representing over 90 percent of all commercial inland marine insurers. The association provides its members with comprehensive training and educational programs, including research papers and bulletins, industry analysis and seminars. IMUA was founded in 1930.
