New York Tour1 Offers a Limited Time LGBT History Themed Tour to Benefit The Stonewall Inn Give Back Initiative as Part of Pride 2018
NEW YORK (PRWEB) June 01, 2018 -- New York Tour 1 will be offering a special LGBTQ history themed tour this month in celebration of Pride. Beyond Stonewall: The LGBTQ History tour will explore the origins of the Gay Rights Movement on the historic streets of Greenwich Village. This 2-hour tour will highlight the storied landmarks of New York’s diverse LGBT community, from the Stonewall Inn to the Gay Liberation Monument.
New York Tour 1 is proud to partner with Heritage of Pride, a nonprofit organization that organizes New York City’s official LGBTQ pride events each year. Proceeds from this tour will go towards The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative, a nonprofit charitable organization that supports grassroots organizations around the country dedicated to eliminating social intolerance and positively uplifting the LGBTQ community.
“We're excited to welcome New York Tour 1 as a 2018 NYC Pride Partner. Their tours will help to shine light on the history of the LGBTQ movement in New York City and we look forward to welcoming the world for our largest year yet," said Heritage of Pride’s Managing Director Chris Frederick.
“We are excited to partner with New York Tour 1 for their LGBTQ Pride history tour. As keepers of a living breathing piece of history, The Stonewall Inn, we know understanding our history is the only way to ensure our future,” says Stacy Lentz, co-owner The Stonewall Inn and CEO of The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative.
“We hope to provide our tour guests a fun and educational experience while learning LGBT history in one of NYC’s most vibrant neighborhoods,” says Andrew Luan, General Manager of New York Tour1.
