California Casualty Celebrates California Distinguished Schools
SAN MATEO, Calif. (PRWEB) May 30, 2018 -- California Casualty joins the California Department of Education in congratulating the 287 elementary schools named 2018 Distinguished Schools. The recipients were cited for their performance and progress in a series of areas that included test scores, suspension rates and English learner progress.
A ceremony was held at Disneyland in early May to honor the recipients.
As the Presenting Sponsor, California Casualty was proud to attend and help celebrate the awardee’s accomplishments.
California Casualty Assistant Vice President Lisa Almeida greeted attendees and introduced State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson. “What a magical night it was celebrating California’s Distinguished Schools. California Casualty is honored to support, in a small way, the amazing work being done across our great state,” she said.
California Casualty CEO Beau Brown thanked the dedicated teachers, administrators and classified employees who help students reach their full potential. “Your innovative leadership has helped California continue to be one of the top states preparing students for graduation, college and beyond,” he said.
Superintendent Torlakson added, “These schools implemented outstanding educational programs and practices that help California students realize their potential, and put them on the path to achieve their dreams. Every day at these schools, teachers, administrators and classified employees, working with parents, apply their dedication, creativity, and talents toward providing a great education for all their students.”
