Fire Dept Coffee Teams up with K Bar Soap Co. in the Fight Against Cancer
CHICAGO (PRWEB) May 30, 2018 -- Fire Dept. Coffee is excited to announce the launch of their new Latherhead Soap - a collaboration product with a 100% philanthropic motive.
They’ve teamed up with the veteran-owned brand K Bar Soap Co. to create a bold, long-lasting bar of soap whose full proceeds will go toward paying for the cancer treatment and care of retired fire captain Dave McWilliams.
McWilliams served over 30 years as a full-time firefighter for the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District before retiring as Fire Captain and pursuing the art of coffee roasting at Fire Dept. Coffee.
“We had already been in talks with K Bar to engineer a coffee bean based soap we could use for charity,” said Fire Dept. Coffee founder and US Navy veteran Luke Schneider. “When we learned our own roaster had been diagnosed with cancer, our purpose was clear.”
Latherhead Soap is made to bring the two best parts of one’s morning routine together as one--showering and caffeinating.
It’s formulated to be strong enough to decontaminate after fighting a blazing fire, but gentle enough for everyday use. It features Fire Dept. Coffee’s Original Blend Coffee for a naturally exfoliating experience, and a fresh clean scent.
