The International Chapter of the iaedp™ Foundation Recognizes World Eating Disorders Action Day on June 1
PEKIN, Ill. (PRWEB) May 30, 2018 -- The International Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™) Foundation, recognized for its excellence in providing innovative education and high-level training standards to eating disorder treatment professionals, will join over 200 other organizations and thousands of activists from around the world, to commemorate the third-annual World Eating Disorders Action Day on June 2, 2018 with a global webinar kickoff on June 1.
As part of its awareness and recognition effort, the iaedp™ International Chapter will conduct a live multilingual and global webinar on June 1 with the theme, “Breaking the Stigma of Eating Disorders.” The webinar will feature presentations in Spanish, Bulgarian, Italian and English and run from 10:00 a.m. to noon EST in the U.S.
Webinar presenters include iaedp™ International Chapter President Dra. Juana Poulisis, MD, PHD, who will be joined by the Chapter Chairwoman of Central America, Dra. Rosanna Mauro, MSc, RD, CEDRD; Chapter Chairwoman of Bulgaria, Elisaveta Pavlova, PhD, CEDS, IE-PRO; Chapter Chairwoman of Canada, Susan Osher, MSc, RD, CEDRD; and Chapter Chairwoman of Italy, Dr. Anna Scelzo, MBSc(Psy)Hons.

The aim of the worldwide recognition program is to expand global awareness of eating disorders as genetically linked, treatable illnesses that can affect anyone. The global event illustrates the vital connections that lead to recovery of those who have suffered from eating disorders. Other special program features will include multiple social media platforms and many live events taking place all around the world.
