Jackie Henderson’s New Book “Road of Confusion” is a Plaintive Story of a Man’s Past Experiences of Abuse and Battle, and How He Courageously Overcame Them
DANIELSVILLE, Ga. (PRWEB) June 01, 2018 -- Jackie Henderson, a sixty-seven-year-old author who lives in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and enjoys fishing, hunting, and outdoor things in the Northeast Georgia area, has completed his new book “Road of Confusion”: a gripping work about a young boy who grows up to be a man with an eventful life of pain and loss.
Author Henderson shows a man who has dealt with overwhelming emotions and thoughts that push him to do anything just to survive the ordeals: “On those long, cold winter days, Robert would have the small potbellied stove in the store stoked up. As they sat there waiting for the next possible customer, Robert would place four or five peanuts, one by one, strategically on top of the hot heater, waiting a bit before turning each one individually, roasting the peanuts evenly. To Justin, these were the very best peanuts in the whole world. He encouraged Robert to put more peanuts on at a time, but Robert just looked at him and said, ‘Ain’t the same thing. It won’t taste the same, boy. You can’t rush a peanut.’ And he placed four or five more peanuts on the stove top to replace the ones he had removed. It was moments like that that had endeared his papa to him because his papa was special, and that place was special. The peanuts were special, and they were just for Papa and himself. And without being aware, he hoped in his heart that since everything else was special, that it would make him special also.”
