Maryland Environmental Service Announces Inaugural Environmental Business Leadership Conference
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (PRWEB) May 31, 2018 -- Environmental business is a $400 billion a year industry, employing 2 million Americans. Maryland’s leaders in this sector will convene in Annapolis on Thursday, July 19, for the inaugural Environmental Business Leadership Conference (EBLC).
This one-day program for public and private sector environmental services and products executives features nearly 40 speakers, including expert panelists and presenters. Participating in the event are many of Governor Larry Hogan’s Administration departments and agencies, including the Secretaries of the Maryland Departments of the Environment, General Services, and the Maryland Energy Administration.
The conference is hosted by the Maryland Environmental Service (MES), a not-for-profit government agency, whose mission is to provide operational and technical services that enhance the environment for the benefit of the citizens of Maryland.
“Maryland is Open for Business, and that includes businesses helping the environment. Our goal is to provide a forum for executives from these companies, along with public sector leaders, to hear from industry experts, share ideas and solutions, and network together,” said Roy McGrath, Director/CEO of the Maryland Environmental Service. “The incredible environmental progress in Maryland, under Gov. Hogan’s leadership, is happening in part through innovative solutions from the environmental businesses and leaders we are convening,” added Mr. McGrath.
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Westin Annapolis Hotel, 100 Westgate Circle, Annapolis. It is open to anyone interested in the environment. More information and registration are available at: http://biz.menv.com
