Pathbuilders Launches Historic 30th Achieva® Class
ATLANTA (PRWEB) June 06, 2018 -- On May 18, Pathbuilders celebrated the launch of the 30th class of Achieva®, its flagship mentoring program for high-potential, mid-management women. 88 high-performing women representing 40 companies gathered to learn how to take advantage of this professional mentoring program and to meet other program participants and their executive-level mentors. This kick-off marked the beginning of each mentee-mentor partnership’s commitment to the year-long mentoring and leadership development program.
Pathbuilders has a rich history of working with Atlanta’s businesswomen. Since 1995, nearly 3,000 women from hundreds of organizations have participated in this truly unique experience.
“We work with hundreds of women every year through the Pathbuilders mentoring programs, and it is tremendously rewarding to know the impact that we continue to have on these individuals and the organizations that invest in their development,” stated Helene Lollis, president and chief executive officer of Pathbuilders.
“Achieva mentees tell us that with the rate of change in their organizations, it is harder than ever to maintain a focus on strategic career growth, influence, and building executive presence,” explained Ashley McNabb, vice president of client operations, who leads the team of skilled interviewers in Pathbuilders’ proprietary mentee-mentor matching process.
Pathbuilders interviews and matches each mentee with an executive-level mentor who is uniquely-positioned to help her grow professionally. Having personally engaged with each participant, Pathbuilders then creates a highly-customized, year-long workshop curriculum to meet each woman’s core developmental needs and surrounds her with a group of peers addressing similar workplace and life opportunities.
“Now more than ever, it is essential for organizations to intentionally focus on the development of their top talent, and countless studies point to the positive business impact of gender-diverse senior teams. Companies that invest in the Achieva program are strategically focused on building leadership teams that truly understand their marketplaces,” said Lollis. “These great companies recognize that investing in female talent is good business.”
The core elements of the Achieva program – one-on-one mentoring with a senior executive-level mentor, interactive educational workshops, and peer networking – promise to pack years of knowledge and experience into the mentee’s hours and position her to contribute to her organization at a higher level.
“I’m honored to be sponsored by Turner to participate in Achieva, and being a part of the 30th anniversary class is the cherry on top!” says Sarah Kitlas, director of social partnerships at Turner Broadcasting Systems, who was matched with nine-time Achieva mentor Peter Scalera, vice president of trade marketing & execution at InComm. “I’m already equipped with new leadership skills that are proving to be indispensable tools as my team navigates changing times at our company. I am lucky enough to share this journey with my mentor as well as a peer group of strong women, both of whom Pathbuilders has so perfectly matched me.”
Originally known as Georgia 100, Achieva is one of Pathbuilders’ four cross-company programs designed to develop high-performing women building executive presence and high-impact leadership skills within their organizations. The Pathbuilders’ series of progressive professional development programs include:
- Pathbuilders InsigniaSM: Entry-level women establishing credibility, developing self-awareness, learning to set priorities, and gaining insight into how the business works.
- Pathbuilders Percepta®: Emerging leaders learning to think broadly, manage others, and make conscious choices—driving their careers and achieving exceptional business results. Pathbuilders is currently in open enrollment for this program.
- Pathbuilders Achieva®: Mid-level managers with the potential to be senior leaders, learning to navigate politics, build executive presence, and move the company’s most critical initiatives forward.
- Pathbuilders Inspiria®: Senior executives positioning themselves to have maximum impact—envisioning and creating cultures where others seek and achieve extraordinary success.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of being part of the Pathbuilders network is seeing the impact our alumnae have on their organizations and on the community,” Lollis says. “Having worked with thousands of women, it’s especially rewarding to see those who have become senior-level executives and are now impacting their organizations at the highest level.”
“I wanted to give back to a program that helped accelerate my career eight years ago and, as Pathbuilders says, ‘let my hindsight, be my mentee’s foresight’,” said mentor Meg Mosley, vice president of financial planning and analysis at Technicolor.
