WATERVLIET, N.Y. (PRWEB) June 07, 2018
Troy Industrial Solutions, a leading provider of maintenance repair, industrial supply, custom fabrication, training and predictive maintenance services for industrial equipment, is proud to announce that it has been recertified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for its Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). Troy Industrial first achieved SHARP certification in December 1999 and has maintained high safety standards and operations excellence for 20 years. This year marks the eighth time Troy has been recertified.
“Troy’s SHARP recertification demonstrates our commitment to a comprehensive safety program and the wellness of our employees,” said Dave Barcomb, vice president of Troy Industrial Solutions. “Safety is our company culture. We are confident that the measures we have put in place make this a better, more productive workplace for our employees. That is reflected in the service we are able to provide our customers.”
OSHA’s SHARP program recognizes small business employers who have used OSHA's On-Site Consultation Program services and operate exemplary safety and health programs. To recertify Troy Industrial, OSHA conducted an analysis that included:
- Interviews with management and employees
- Full shop inspection
- Verification of all reports
- Review of Safety Committee notes
- Review of Job Hazard Analysis
- Review of new processes and equipment
- Review of all Safety Data Sheets
- Verification that Troy had no loss time recorded due to safety issues
“Safety of our employees is paramount at Troy Industrial Solutions,” said Brian Englert, safety coordinator at Troy Industrial. “We worked hard to establish stringent, sensible safety standards and programs that keep Troy running at its best. This recertification confirms that we are doing our best to take care of our employees and keep safety top of mind.”
