The Texas FFA Selects The Power Group as PR Agency of Record, 90-Year-Old Brand Desires to Break Stereotypes
AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) June 07, 2018 -- The Texas FFA today announced its selection of The Power Group for its ongoing public relations efforts. The announcement comes as the 90-year-old organization further strengthens its position as the true leader in agriculture education across the state of Texas.
From a NASA-based program to plant sciences, the Texas FFA offers students early opportunities to learn through and explore a wide variety of programs that in turn, offer them a pathway to a successful future in science, technology, engineering or math-related fields.
“When the public hears FFA they instinctively think of the Future Farmers of America, which we often associate with stock shows and farming, but that is just one side of the story. Today’s Texas FFA is producing tomorrow’s leaders by connecting students and teachers to STEM through agricultural education,” said Amy Power, founder and president of The Power Group.
Texas FFA, which has evolved from an organization focused primarily on production agriculture to a broader-based organization that also works to help students in both urban and suburban school districts, also focuses on preparing the students of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Tammy Christian, a high school teacher and incoming president of the Vocational Agricultural Teachers Association of Texas, explains. “What most people don’t realize is that The Texas FFA is really a leadership program that begins in the classroom.”
“The Texas FFA has launched business careers, established CEOs and has played an integral role in creating some of the state’s most respected leaders,” added Aaron Alejandro, Texas FFA Foundation Executive Director. “Yes, we are the Future Farmers of America, but we are also the future biologists, future engineers, future entrepreneurs – We are the future of America.”
The Texas FFA is the nation’s largest state FFA association with a membership of more than 123,000 individuals. FFA gives students the opportunity to apply practical classroom knowledge to real world experiences through local, state, and national competitions.
