FT. WORTH, Texas (PRWEB) June 11, 2018 -- Certrec, a leading licensing and regulatory compliance provider for NRC and NERC compliance, is excited to share the success of the 2018 Benchmarking Workshop held May 15-17, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Certrec’s recent Benchmarking Workshop provided a forum to examine nuclear fleet regulatory best practices. Licensing and compliance personnel from across the country spent two days, conferring in a roundtable format, about such topics as Roles (site versus fleet), Training, Processes, Performance Indicators, Inspections, and other issues in these challenging times. Certrec personnel facilitated a number of sessions and prompted attendees to share their multiple viewpoints and experiences.
Certrec Workshop organizer Scott Head said, “One of the things I kept hearing was how when people go on benchmarking visits, they only get the one perspective from the plant they are visiting. This workshop gave us the chance to encounter multiple, individual perspectives on a topic at the same time.”
One participant noted, “It has been many years since there had been an industry benchmarking of licensing; this workshop was very insightful with excellent facilitation and discussions. Having a website with all the participants’ procedures will be extremely useful.”
Another attendee commented that “the workshop was well-facilitated and resulted in a number of best practices identified for possible adoption across the industry.”
Perhaps the strongest endorsement was the widespread agreement that the workshop should be repeated in the future because it was a concentrated sharing of knowledge, experience, and professional OE that benefitted all involved.
