Want to Keep the Warm Fuzzies of Best Friends Day Going? We Got You: Adopt a Pet from These Great Houston Groups June 8-10
HOUSTON (PRWEB) June 07, 2018 -- Every year there is a special day to celebrate your special friend, this year Best Friends Day is June 8. But why just have one day to celebrate when you can get all the snuggles and nuzzles you want year-round? What, your human best friend doesn’t give you nuzzles? Well, we have someone who will.
In Houston national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society is teaming up with six great groups to offer free pet adoptions on select pets from June 8 to June 10. This is the first such event for The Coalition to Save Houston’s Pets and with multiple locations, adoptable pets are nearby regardless of where people live in the Houston area (full list of locations at this link).
“The Coalition to Save Houston's Pets is so excited to host this adoption event at several of the coalition members' locations,” said Whitney Bliton, program engagement manager – Houston, Best Friends Animal Society. “The adoption event is a great representation of the coalition working together to save shelter cats and dogs across the Houston area. Whether you’re are looking for an old dog to watch old movies with or a young cruiser that will run for miles with you, whether you want a cat to purr you to sleep or an active curtain ninja who will entertain you with her antics, between all these groups we know you will find that perfect best friends. "
Participating groups are: Harris County Animal Shelter/Veterinary Public Health, A Life to Live, BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions, Friends for Life, Texas Litter Control and Houston Pets Alive. Adoption fees are waived on select pets. All animals will be vaccinated and microchipped, if not already spayed/neutered, the pet will go home with a voucher for spay/neuter.
