MKACyber Hires Travis Aldrich as Vice President of Security Operations
FAIRFAX, Va. (PRWEB) June 11, 2018 -- MKACyber (http://www.mkacyber.io), the leading security operations solutions provider focused on connecting the security operations center (SOC) to the business, has added another technology veteran to its executive bench by hiring Travis Aldrich to the position of vice president of security operations. In this strategic role, Mr. Aldrich will be responsible for leading two foundational parts of MKACyber’s business: the MKACyber SOC team and the Managed Security Service (MSSP) business.
"We deliberately sought out Travis because of his strong technical acumen and extensive management experience to help us scale our growing MSSP business," said Mischel Kwon, CEO of MKACyber. “As MKACyber evolves, it’s important that we maintain our focus on the technical capabilities to support our existing and future customers. His background in SOC leadership and working with large enterprises makes him uniquely qualified to help push MKACyber forward. We’re very excited for Travis to join us.”
Mr. Aldrich comes to MKACyber with 20 years’ experience using and architecting various security technologies for data analysis, incident response, governance, and compliance. He most recently served as the director of IT security for Motiva Enterprises, where he developed and led the company’s cybersecurity strategies, its IT security framework, policies and procedures, and also managed the incident orchestration activities for breach response. He was previously the technical lead for Royal Dutch Shell, where he managed the enterprise content model and team, the senior analysts for Shell Cyber Defense and the Threat Hunting team. Mr. Aldrich also held senior security engineering roles with NetWitness Corporation and Decurity, LLC. He also honorably served in the United States Air Force.
“MKACyber is changing the way we think about security operations, and I’m very excited to be part of that paradigm shift,” said Mr. Aldrich. “By bringing more of a business-focus to cybersecurity operations and tailoring enterprise defense strategies to meet our customers’ security needs, risk profile, and threat model, we are able to provide a complete defense at a reasonable cost in ways that really make sense at every level of the business. I’m looking forward to growing our team, working with clients and partners, and evolving the way that SOCs work.”
