Body & Brain Yoga Hosts Health Living Community Events Nationwide Based on Ilchi Lee Book
MESA, Ariz. (PRWEB) June 14, 2018 -- Body & Brain Yoga and Tai Chi Centers around the United States are hosting community events in June 2018 that promote healthy lifestyles for overall wellness and longevity. These events feature talks by Body & Brain Yoga instructors and other experts, as well as booths from local health and wellness organizations.
These “Healthy Living” events support the national health campaign of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Earth Citizens Organization (ECO). Called SEED for Health, the campaign aims to help people “take back our natural right to health, get connected in the spirit of care, and share wisdom, tips and resources to get naturally healthier together,” according to its official website, SEEDforHealth.org.
SEED represents the four things an individual needs to water and manage in order to have a healthy life: Stress, Exercise, Emotions, and Diet. ECO claims that small simple actions are enough to plant the seed of health. They suggest reducing stress, exercising more, changing emotions from negative to positive, and eating a balanced diet without overeating.
Body & Brain Yoga addresses these aspects of health with simple mind-body exercises that originate from traditional Korean energy medicine practices. Presenters at Healthy Living events plan to demonstrate for those who attend how Body & Brain Yoga helps to manage SEED.
Some of these are explained in the newest book by Body & Brain Yoga founder and New York Times bestselling author Ilchi Lee. "I’ve Decided to Live 120 Years: The Ancient Secret to Longevity, Vitality, and Life Transformation" (Best Life Media 2017) is filled with practical information and a hopeful philosophy for living for a long time with health and satisfaction. Body & Brain Yoga is using this book as the foundation of the events and will give copies of the book with ticket sales.
Health tips Lee gives in the book include doing high-intensity exercises for one minute every hour and changing the gait of one’s walk to improve posture and circulation. Lee also suggests having a life purpose that provides a reason to make the lifestyle changes needed to live as long as 120 years—the current approximation science has for how long it’s possible for a human being to live.
Ilchi Lee’s "I’ve Decided to Live 120 Years" has been endorsed by members of the health community such as Dr. Christiane Northrup, bestselling author of "Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom," Dr. Emeran Mayer, author of "The Mind-Gut Connection," and Dr. Reed Tuckson, author of "The Doctor in the Mirror."
“Ilchi lays out how the development of self-reliance, meaning, compassion, connectedness to nature, physical fitness, and healthy diet are all essential ingredients to a healthy, fulfilling life way beyond the 80 or so years that most people have accepted as their biological age limit,” wrote Dr. Emeran Mayer about the book.
Body & Brain Yoga Healthy Living events began in the beginning of June. Most events will take place at the end of the month. A list of events can be found at http://www.bodynbrain.com/events.
