Denver’s Newest Walking Tours Pair Cannabis with Graffiti and Craft Drinks
DENVER (PRWEB) June 18, 2018 -- On June 20, My 420 Tours will launch its newest set of experiences: three walking tours through the trendy and historic RiNo Arts District. Each tour, running two hours in length, will pair a smoke session at a private cannabis lounge with a street art walk, a visit to a brewery, or winery tour and tasting.
The new tours launch just in time for the summer travel high season.
My 420 Tours is the first and biggest marijuana tour provider in the USA. The travel company has been operating cannabis experiences in Denver, Colorado -- the nation’s cradle of marijuana legalization -- since 2013. Its classic cannabis tours include a 420-friendy bus ride to a grow facility and a dispensary.
Riding the RiNo Wave
RiNo tours and experiences are in high demand. The fast-changing arts district is trending on the travel radar with mentions from guidebooks like Lonely Planet, which named it as one of ten “hot ‘hoods in the USA”.
My 420 Tours has been eyeing RiNo for several years. The only piece missing was a safe, legal venue for tour guests to smoke or vape their cannabis, as public consumption is prohibited and can incur fines of up to $100.
In early 2018, Tetra 9 Private Lounge and Garden opened as a members-only smoking lounge. A partnership was born. By including a one-day membership to Tetra 9 in the price of the walking tour, My 420 Tours can offer its guests exclusive access to the lounge while staying compliant with the state of Colorado’s “private spaces only” regulations.
Street Art, Breweries, and Wineries
All three tours will follow a similar “shop, toke, and explore on foot” format. After a visit to a nearby dispensary to pick up some goods at a special discounted price, tour guests will have a chance to light up their purchases at Tetra 9. Then, in an uplifted state of mind, guests follow their guide to the best of RiNo’s street art and craft beverage scenes. Guests can choose to complete their cannabis experience with a mural art walk, a local brewery tour and tasting, or an urban winery tour and tasting.
The routes and stops of each tour will be curated constantly, but they’re likely to feature LivWell and Botanico dispensaries, as well as Infinite Monkey Theorem Winery. The graffiti walk will highlight the art of muralists such as Jeremy Burns, best known for his two-sided “Boy and Girl” mural.
Each tour is bookable online for $29 plus fees, and each tour lasts about two hours. All three tours will depart from Tetra 9 five days a week: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tour guests must be 21+ to participate, and a valid ID is a non-negotiable must.
Safe and Legal Cannabis Culture for Travelers
The mission of My 420 Tours is to celebrate legal cannabis culture and to “sprinkle it on top” of Denver’s own urban identity. Tours are designed not to get guests as high as possible, but rather to heighten their local experiences in a safe and guided way.
“The beauty of a walking tour is that it’s a fun activity for out-of-towners to do while feeling the effects of THC,” says Danny Schaefer, owner at My 420 Tours. “RiNo is walkable and well-connected to Downtown on foot or via public transit. It takes driving out of the equation.”
The cannabis tour company currently welcomes around 1000 guests -- both out-of-staters and locals alike -- on its tours during the summer months. With its new RiNo tours activated, they expect to see an even bigger and more diverse set of clientele in the second half of 2018.
