Hokulia Shave Ice Continues to Expand Its Footprint and Opened a New “Authentic Hawaiian” Hokulia Shave Ice Shack in Clinton
CLINTON, Utah (PRWEB) June 15, 2018 -- Hokulia Shave Ice continues to expand its footprint and opened a new “Authentic Hawaiian” Hokulia Shave Ice shack in Clinton. The shack is located at 1900 N. 2000 W., Clinton, Utah. This location joins the more than 60 Hokulia Shave Ice outlets throughout the country. Hokulia plans a Grand Opening celebration this coming Friday and Saturday, June 15th and 16th. The celebration will include Lightning Basketball Games, Sidewalk Chalk drawing, Hula Hoop contest, prize giveaways and more! Friday the 15th will feature free Sno Cap and Saturday the 16th will include an offer to purchase a Long Board shave ice for the price of a Short Board at the Clinton location only.
Offering a Taste of Hawaii, at Hokulia, it’s about the ice—not ground into chunks, but a delicate shave that’s melt in your mouth. It is like eating cotton candy, but cool and refreshing. The shave ice is then topped with a choice from 50 different flavors, imported from Hawaii, and made with pure cane sugar. “We call them ‘Waves of Flavor,’” said Clint Severson, Founder and Director of Hokulia Operations. Of course, the products also come in fat-free, gluten free and sugar free flavor combinations, catering to each customer’s own preference.
“Portions are enormous (sizes include short board and long board), and the products can have a serving of premium island ice cream buried in the ice. The creamy Hawaiian inspired ice creams are of premium quality.” Hokulia is part of the Farr Better Ice Cream family; a company created more than 90 years ago by Asael Farr. Farr’s is one of the nation’s last mid-size ice cream and confectionary companies.
Hokulia boasts that the sweet flavors teamed with the delicate shave ice, ice cream in the middle and sweetened condensed milk (Sno-Cap) create a creamy and refreshing treat that is unsurpassed!
The Clinton shack is locally owned and operated by J.T. and Diane Soter. J.T. teaches and coaches at Clearfield High School while Diane teaches ballet. With an open summer schedule they are excited to own a business that reminds themselves and others of an "authentic" Hawaii. Diane has family who lived in Oahu for some years and became connoisseurs of Hawaiian shave ice. The Soters would not have bought the business without family approval of its products being capable of providing an experience reminiscent of the islands.
They are ready and charged to share all the 50 great flavors with their family, friends, and community. “We are very excited to open another shack,” Severson stated. “At each new Hokulia location, customers can find a convenient island oasis to stop, hear the music and enjoy a little taste of the Aloha.” The authentic Hawaiian shave ice is served in the traditional flower cup or is also available in a convenient GO cup with easy access lids and spoons for ‘No Worry spilling’ while taking it with you.
