Phlebotomy Training Center Family Health Services Acquired by Health Services Academy
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) June 20, 2018 -- Health Services Academy acquired the phlebotomy training school from the school’s founder, Otis Stitt, who formed the school in 1986. Health Services Academy invests in healthcare-focused vocational schools and related services with the goal of advancing student careers and improving healthcare quality. Cinco Plumb, the company’s President & CEO, will maintain the Family Health Services name for the time being while making substantial improvements to the current ongoing operations.
Health Services Academy has initiated exciting new improvement plans for Family Health Services including substantial administrative advancements, instructional aids, and new digital technology. Some of these improvements include setting up a new a new digital records system, a customer relationship management (CRM) system, digital registration and payment capabilities, and financing options for students. State-of-the-art equipment has been added to the school including new smart TVs, digital teaching devices, electronic testing tools and online course materials.
With the help of Health Services Academy, Family Health Services is set on expanding community involvement efforts through new partnerships with healthcare providers (hospitals, diagnostic labs, mobile phlebotomy providers). The goal is to increase job opportunities for students and licensed graduates of the program, while also providing highly trained, top tier Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) graduates to healthcare providers around San Diego.

Family Health Services Training Center’s mission is to enhance students' careers, meet the needs of healthcare providers, and improve patient care by providing high quality, cost effective phlebotomy education through industry leading curriculum, current technology, and extensive hands-on experience. As one of the most established Phlebotomy schools in San Diego, we are approved to operate by the California Department of Public Health Laboratory Field Services (CDPH/LFS) and California’s Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). We offer accelerated CPT1 classes throughout the year, with programs starting at the beginning of each month as well as weekend and evening classes. In addition to our training courses, we work with healthcare providers around San Diego for externship programs and job placements after graduation.
