Author Eric Leslie’s Newly Released “The Man on the Bench” Is the Tale of a Little Hardware Store in a Small Town and the Blessings of the Life Shared by Its Owners
MEADVILLE, Pa. (PRWEB) June 22, 2018 -- “The Man on The Bench”: a story about the meaning of life and the blessings of love. “The Man on The Bench” is the creation of published author, Eric Leslie. Born and raised in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, Eric has two older sisters who, like their parents, excel in the arts. Not good with pencils or paints, Eric made a career of several building trades. He is probably best known for his passion in stonework. After a minor accident in his early twenties, Eric, like many others, naively developed a prescription opioid addiction that he battled for many years before successfully putting it behind him. In the end, God had planned a three year “time out” for him. The Lord spoke to Eric in prayer and guided him through every sentence of this book as he typed away inside a prison cell.
“If you wonder about the reasoning for death, read this book. If you wonder about the reasoning for life, read this book. Either way, blessings are the subject for both; to whom it’s supposed to benefit is not up to us, as the decision lays in the heavy hands of the Lord.” --Eric Leslie
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Eric Leslie’s new book shares a story about the cycle of life and death.
In the small, historic town of Ridgedale, Pennsylvania, there sits a hardware store on Main Street. It was owned by a Mr. Hardy. Aging, Mr. Hardy decided to retire and sell the store. He had no children of his own, but he loved a young woman named Rita like a daughter and respected her husband, Ric, more than anyone. “The Man on The Bench” is the story of how Mr. Hardy passed his hardware store onto Rita and Ric. It is the story of the man who witnessed it all, including the love that was shared.
