Ironistic Launches Website for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation: An Initiative Empowering Tomorrow’s Workforce
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (PRWEB) June 19, 2018 -- Ironistic is excited to announce the launch of forwardontalent.org, a site commissioned by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and engineered to highlight the partnerships between the nation’s employers and educators to strengthen communities.
The mission of the Chamber Foundation’s website is to feature employers that are leading initiatives to solve for some of our toughest education and workforce challenges across four phases of the talent pipeline. The hope is that the successful engagement and partnership models outlined on the website will inspire more employers of all sizes, across all industries, to find a way to better support the workforce of today, and invest in the workforce of tomorrow.
Ironistic designed and developed forwardontalent.org for the Chamber Foundation, a partner we are honored to work with. Aware of the goals and potential impact of this website, we built a visually-engaging platform that would educate and encourage action. It features high-impact stories, an interactive map with pop-up features, social media integration, and an easy avenue for new businesses to submit their stories.
The Chamber Foundation’s initiative targets four core need areas in our nation’s pipeline of talent development: Entry Point to School Readiness, Preparing Students for Success, Bridging Classroom to Career, and Investing in Talent for Tomorrow. Organizations like IBM, Microsoft, ExxonMobile, Home Depot, and others have all developed programs that increase practical, goal-oriented education and workforce-ready skills for preschool, K-12, college and post-grad students and workers. The programs they lead provide education, training, internships and mentorships that offer real opportunity for successful, 21st-century careers.
The interactive map fuses the site’s featured organizations and their stories with their respective states. For instance, a trip to Wisconsin will introduce you to Wyoming Machine, Inc. or you can travel south to Texas to learn about UpSkill Houston. Ironistic also implemented unique filters outside of the interactive map like searching via tag or education focus to help guide employers to the type of model that might be right for them to emulate.
Because we fully expect forwardontalent.org to grow and evolve, Ironistic engineered a dynamic backend so that the Chamber Foundation can easily manage their site by including functionality for creating forms and building out stories.
