Four Female Founders (F3) Support Girls Being Born Worthy
LONG BEACH, Calif. (PRWEB) June 19, 2018 -- The audience was on their feet Thursday night at a mixer supporting women in technology, and their allies, as Nell Merlino introduced business owners, executives and parents to her new initiative, BornWorthy.org, a sequel to the original Take Our Daughters To Work Day. Merlino explained, “Through Born Worthy, girls and their families are given the tools to counteract the conscious and unconscious forces that make our daughters feel unsafe, insecure and not good enough.” Born Worthy, a not for profit organization dedicated to preparing girls to successfully navigate young womanhood, is one of the initiatives being funded by Julie Fogg’s Four Female Founders (F3).
A distinguished panelist from the June 14 event in Long Beach, Stephanie Ardrey, CEO Blu Diamond Group said, “I had a dream or a vision when I was 9 years old that I shared with my mother of sitting in a big office with the San Francisco Bay Bridge outside the window. By the age of 21 I was working in an office with that view."
Stephanie went on to say, “The dreams of young girls need to be encouraged and validated.”
Active Port is the proud inaugural sponsor of the Four Female Founders (F3) initiative and SparkiCreative sponsored the event logistics.
