Rafa Selase Re-Issues “Red Blooded American” Album as Collector’s Edition Vinyl
Oakland, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2018 -- Souletics® Music announced today that their flagship artist Rafa Selase is set to release an autographed limited collector’s edition vinyl copy of the “Red Blooded American” Album that includes the U.S. constitution. The production run will be limited to 200 copies. They describe the album as a collection of songs about freedom, a musical, poetic, philosophical look at America’s history and current day climate.
According to United Kingdom’s A&R Factory, “It’s a fearlessly compelling composition, with elements of Acid Jazz, Alternative Hip Hop & Folk combined with his poetically poignant lyricism.”
In the current political climate, more artists are speaking out on social issues, and protest songs are on the rise. However, the original release date of “Red Blooded American” was September 11, 2017 – before Childish Gambino’s brilliant release of “This is America,” and before Eminem’s controversial attack on the president.
Selase prefers not to call his songs “political or protest songs,” but instead says they are songs that examine our hearts. "While America is facing economic and political instability, more importantly it is facing a moral dilemma. You could say we are in a spiritual grace period, with the unique opportunity to choose our direction. Music is part of the solution, providing inspiration, education and entertainment."
When asked why he included copies of the U.S. Constitution with his Album he says, “I think at this point in time it is highly important for people to understand the principles and foundation upon which America was built. It’s obvious we understand some of our history. But not many of us have ever looked at the constitution. If we want to make things better, we should have an understanding of what some seek to build upon, and what some seek to destroy.”
