Announcing…this year's scholarship recipients:
JACOB FISCH of Plano West Senior High School. Attending the University of Texas at Dallas to study Accounting.
“Through math, and a few business classes, I was able to discover my interest in accounting and finance. This year, I am not only taking the highest-level math class my school offers, Calculus BC AP, but Statistics AP as well. Now, I am planning to attend UT Dallas and graduate with an MS in Accounting and earn my CPA. Ultimately, I would like to become a CFO.”
JAMIL KASSAM of The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. Attending the University of Georgia to study Computer & Information Sciences.
“I feel this will lead to my vision of a world where technology enables humanity to do tasks that we perform on a daily basis with significantly greater ease as well as to expand our horizons and do things that we have never thought possible.”
HARRISON KEENER of East Paulding High School. Attending the Georgia Institute of Technology to study Accounting.
“Recently, I have started a stock portfolio, and I am also taking a college accounting class as a dual enrollment student. Now that I am able to read and understand financial statements and balance sheets, I can better manage my investments by telling which companies are profitable or not, and if their returns are increasing from year to year.”
RYAN STROZENSKY of South Forsyth High School. Attending the Georgia Institute of Technology to study Computer Mathematics.
“The ability to perform complex functions from utilizing a plethora of these simple decisions amazed me. The power of computing fascinated me and writing successful code in AP Computer Science became addicting. I decided that I needed to pursue a career in computer science.”
The Intersect Group surprised each recipient with a Big fun check and recorded all the excitement.
