Woolpert’s Aaron Lawrence to Talk UAS and Surveying Live Today on National Radio Show
DAYTON, Ohio (PRWEB) June 25, 2018 -- Aaron Lawrence, the Woolpert unmanned aircraft system (UAS) technology director and research scientist, will be the featured guest on the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) Radio Hour at 11 a.m. EDT today. To tune in, visit americaswebradio.com/nsps-radio-hour and click “Play” on the radio icon on the right side of the page.
NSPS Executive Director and longtime Professional Surveyor Curtis Sumner hosts the NSPS Radio Hour, which is the only national radio broadcast dedicated to the surveying profession. The show’s purpose is to respond to industry challenges presented by new technologies, governments and activities by providing a forum for its members to share knowledge and advance their common interests.
Lawrence is a geographic information systems professional who oversees the development and application of UAS across multiple markets at Woolpert. He was among the first group to pass the Federal Aviation Administration’s Part 107 Remote Pilot in Command Exam to fly drones commercially in 2016, and continues to mentor the growing ranks of UAS pilots within the firm.
“I recently attended a continuing education course that Aaron was presenting to the Virginia Association of Surveyors, and was thoroughly impressed with his depth of knowledge and his presentation skills,” Sumner said. “I knew right away that having him join me on the NSPS Radio Hour would be beneficial to our national audience.”
Highlights of today’s discussion will be posted on woolpert.com this afternoon. A link to the recorded broadcast also will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
