Quantum Spatial to Speak at the 19th Annual JALBTCX Coastal Mapping and Charting Workshop
St. Petersburg, Fla (PRWEB) June 26, 2018 -- Quantum Spatial, Inc.(QSI), the nation’s largest independent geospatial data firm, today announced that five Quantum Spatial geospatial professionals -- Russ Faux, senior vice president, Enterprise Growth Initiatives; Kurt Allen, Federal Programs Lead; Colin Cooper, technical domain expert; Evon Silvia, solutions architect; and Andres Vargas, technical expert -- will participate in a presentation and two panel discussions during the 19th Annual JALBTCX Coastal Mapping and Charting Workshop in Providence, Rhode Island beginning today and running to June 28, 2018.
The Joint Airborne LiDAR Bathymetry Technical Center of Excellence (JALBTCX) Workshop is an annual event that brings together individuals from government agencies (USACE, NOAA, USGS, US Navy), private firms, and universities who are global leaders in hydrographic mapping and services. The workshop provides updates on national coastal mapping programs and offers participants the unique opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of colleagues working in this field.
“QSI is honored to actively participate in the JALBTCX workshop again this year,” said Faux. “The technology and methods for coastal mapping continue to evolve and we are very excited about the array of topics featured in this year’s program. We are particularly excited to have QSI technical experts participate in and lead panel discussions that will drive the science and future standards associated with airborne bathymetric LiDAR.”
