Orange County Brewers Announces Massive Expansion To Orlando International Airport – Plus New Location In Lake Mary And Beer Distribution Facility “Brew Theory”
ORLANDO, Fla. (PRWEB) June 27, 2018 -- Less than one year since Orange County Brewers moved into Downtown Orlando and become a fast favorite amongst the locals, now even more residents and visitors of “The City Beautiful” will get to experience the beloved beer brand with the exciting announcement that Orange County Brewers (OCB) will open at Orlando International Airport’s new South Terminal C in early 2021. The 1,200 square foot location will boast a modern design and have similar brightly colored, Florida-themed accents that OCB Downtown is known for, and it will carry six OCB craft beers. OCB Downtown’s Head Brewer Amanda Roberts will expand her talents to the MCO location, with operations run by OCB President/Founder Jeremy Roberts, Partner Travis Barr and Partner Pete Zachman.
In addition to MCO, Orange County Brewers will open its second brew pub in Lake Mary this October. The 3,500 square foot location will be the anchor tenant in the brand-new Park Lane Plaza and the first brewery in Lake Mary (1117 International Parkway, Suite 1701, Lake Mary, FL 32746). It will feature an industrial taproom design with heavy wood accents, an open floor plan allowing for the brewery to be visible from all seats, a large outdoor seating area and a food concept similar to the brewery/kitchen concept of Downtown. OCB Lake Mary will carry 12 to 20 different beer varieties crafted by Head Brewer Amanda Roberts, and with its own unique brewing system, produce more pilners and lagers.
Rounding out the vast expansion, Orange County Brewers partners will also soon open a 12,000 square foot contract brewing facility “Brew Theory” in the new Creative Village area in Downtown Orlando (400 Pittman Street, Orlando, FL 32801). Brew Theory will house a large brewing facility for a variety of breweries, full service lab, homebrew shop and a taproom with a podcast room, office spaces and a sandwich shop. While Brew Theory’s main focus will be on brewing for other breweries, Orange County Brewers will serve a few of their own in-house brands, crafted by Brew Theory Head Brewer Ken Waugh. The grand opening is slated for this September.
“To say that we are pumped about this expansion is a huge understatement,” says OCB President/Founder Jeremy Roberts. “Moving into Orlando International Airport’s new terminal is beyond our wildest dreams. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity and for all the support we’ve received since opening in Downtown last year. This concept is a special one, and with our new location in Lake Mary coming soon too and the opening of Brew Theory, we are very excited for many more folks to join the OCB brew crew and enjoy all this dynamic brand has to offer.”
Orange County Brewers Downtown (131 North Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801) also recently welcomed their new kitchen concept “Red Claw” to rave reviews. Red Claw, run by Co-Owners Pete Downing and Vincent Olivieri, serves a variety of fresh and delicious lobster rolls and pizza pies.
