Quadrotech Releases Autopilot to Streamline Office 365 Administration
ZUG, Switzerland (PRWEB) June 28, 2018 -- Autopilot is a sophisticated SaaS-based management solution to streamline Office 365 administration and simplify tenant management. Bringing the familiar ideas of hierarchical on-premises Active Directory Organizational Units and Group Policy Objects to Office 365, Autopilot saves time and money by allowing IT administrators to securely delegate control of Office 365 actions to unprivileged users in the company. The solution is able to manage both on-premises platforms and Office 365 workloads in a single interface.
Running on the Microsoft Azure Service Fabric platform, Autopilot collects on-premises Active Directory data such as Organizational Units (OUs) and makes it available for use with Office 365. OUs can be utilized to provide granular delegated administration, allowing users with no rights to the actual systems to perform pre-defined actions. If the Autopilot policy engine determines that the user has the correct permissions to perform the requested action, for example, adding a new user and assigning an Office 365 license —it will perform those actions on their behalf. All user requests and actions are audited, so administrators have a complete record of which users did what. This means that IT teams can get back to strategic, value-add projects instead of completing low-value, high volume help-desk tickets.
