MachineShop Expands Leadership Team - Names Tony Hillerson as New Vice President of Engineering
BOSTON and DENVER (PRWEB) June 29, 2018 -- MachineShop, the Edge Computing Company, today announced the appointment of Tony Hillerson as Vice President of Engineering and Product Development. Hillerson joins MachineShop from Verizon Location Services/Mapquest and will run the product development team based in Denver.
In this newly created role, Hillerson will accelerate execution of the company’s mission of enabling ‘Brilliantly Simple Edge Computing’ by expanding the scope and scale of its EdgeIQ(™) software platform. EdgeIQ is helping organizations manage high volumes of edge devices, their data and orchestrating computing resources and workflows between the edge and the cloud.
Hillerson joins the organization with an impressive 20 years of engineering management, architecture and software development experience. Prior to MachineShop, Hillerson served as the technical manager for both the IoT platform and SDKs and Integrations team at Verizon Location Services and MapQuest. Before Verizon, Hillerson was Director of Engineering at Tack Mobile, a mobile design and development company, where he oversaw and directed the engineering team.
