SupaPop® Studios' Sean Danconia returns to Anime Expo 2018 (Los Angeles Convention Center, Jul 5th-8th) as Guest of Honor, to announce multiple SupaPop partnerships in animation, entertainment brands and licensing. Danconia will also launch a Tezuka Productions collaboration featuring Astro Boy at The ANNEX--AX's new concept space located in Kentia Hall, adjacent to Artist-Alley.
LOS ANGELES, July 5, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sean Danconia returns to Anime Expo 2018 (Los Angeles Convention Center, July 5th-8th) as Guest of Honor, with multiple partnership announcements for SupaPop Studios including development deals in animation, entertainment brands and licensing, along with an all-new Tezuka Productions collaboration featuring Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion and more.
Danconia's dynamic work in the art & animation worlds has made him a household name among Pop-Art aficionados. Exhibitions of his work include Disney's Wonderground Gallery (Disneyland® Resort), Gallery 1988, Mouche Gallery, Hero Complex and Sotheby's.
Danconia will be featured in Anime Expo's newest concept space—The ANNEX, located in Kentia Hall (adjacent to Artist Alley) where his booth will display his Super-Pop-Surreal artwork along with SupaPop Studio' character brands. In addition, Danconia will participate in a live-art studio performance on Friday afternoon, completing a giant-size mural of SupaPop Studios' brand, 'Best Frenemies'.
SupaPop Studios Co-CCO and partner, Jack Hsu (Spiderman, Lego Batman), will also be on hand to meet guests and fans alike.
Following their debut of multiple brands at Licensing Expo, SupaPop Studios joins forces with several animation and brand leaders to bring their creative vision to life.
In the anime sphere, Award-Winning 'Vision Animation'(Kuu Kuu Harajuku, SheZow, Transformers, etc.) have signed on with Danconia to produce and partner on 'Best Frenemies', a tween-teen comedy-adventure series that irreverently celebrates the 'cult of cosplay' and pop-kawaii-culture.
China's premier 3D animation house, Beijing Immortal Master Animation, is also on board to co-develop SupaPop's 'My StarLing', an aspirational sci-fi fairytale for kids, whose concept art will be showcased at the event along with Afrobot and Spytime, two additional SupaPop Studios' brands produced by the Emmy-Award winning, Eric Rollman (Mavel Animation, Saban Entertainment).
In the experiential retail sphere, the acclaimed Hangzhou-based brand development team at HearLook, will join forces with Danconia to create art installations and product Pop-Ups across China, featuring his original work and SupaPop branded characters.
Finally, writer / producer, Jeff Britting (Academy Award® nominated work), is signed on to co-pen SupaPop's pulp graphic novel, L'Adoria, which Danconia is developing as both a VR experience and a live-action film.
