In January 2017, NOVAtime released the first fully responsive timesheet to its Workforce Management / Time and Attendance solutions. Single Page Application (SPA) Timesheets simplified the way supervisors and employees track their time, using JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) to improve data exchange rates, and Web API to send real-time requests to servers. Later that year, in September, NOVAtime released the new Employee Web Services (EWS) self-service portal, providing a complete and responsive employee interface platform.
Now, thanks to the new UI, this efficiency is accessible to all users for a variety of purposes. Using the new PTO / Leave Management Approval page, supervisors can see requests that are pending, approved or declined, make edits or just look into specific employees, groups, or dates with just a few clicks. Schedulers can easily isolate the exact schedule, employee, date or request they want to see, simplifying scheduling and approvals. In particular, the new PTO approval page has been improved to make reviewing and approving employee leave requests more efficient. By just hovering over a certain day, supervisors and managers can see details such as total number of time off requests, before even opening another page.
