Nova Scotia Health Authority Selects Corepoint Health Software to Advance Goal of Integrating Health Data Throughout the Province
Corepoint Integration Engine will replace five legacy integration engines and empower NSHA IT staff to meet the goals of the province's One Patient One Record patient-care initiative
DALLAS, July 11, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nova Scotia Health Authority has chosen Corepoint Health's Corepoint Integration Engine software to provide health data interoperability throughout the Canadian province, which includes more than 45 facilities delivering primary care, community health, and acute care services to the Canadian Atlantic region.
Providing data interoperability is a core component of the Province's One Person One Record initiative, which will move the province from multiple disparate clinical systems to a single primary system connected to multiple secondary clinical and support systems. One Person One Record is a partnership of several government departments, including Health and Wellness and Internal Services, with health-care organizations NSHA and IWK Health Centre.
NSHA's CIO Keltie Jamieson said Corepoint Integration Engine will provide the data foundation that will help her organization meet their long-term goals.
"The Province's One Person One Record strategy is a patient-care initiative to have the right information available to the right person, at the right time and place. Corepoint Integration Engine will help make this possible," Jamieson said. "Our legacy solutions were not up to the task and employed a convoluted process to create a basic interface.
