Questex Travel Group, organizer of the Caribbean Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange (CMITE) and publisher of International Meetings Review, will be the first event partner of the newly formed Quintana Roo Tourism Board. The ninth annual CMITE will take place August 6-9, 2018 at the UNICO 20°87° in Riviera Maya in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
The unification of the state’s destinations including Riviera Maya, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Holbox and Tulum, was announced by director general Darío Flota Ocampo on June 11th of this year. While each destination will still maintain its unique identity, the unified tourism board will also showcase the strengths of the state as a whole and plans to launch a marketing, advertising and public relations campaign in the United States to promote both business and leisure travel.

The event, held in partnership with the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), will feature private one-to-one appointments, local entertainment, authentic cuisine, and culturally immersive activities and receptions.
Suppliers at the event will represent cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies and sought-after incentive destinations, hotels, resorts and spas, all of which are either based in the Caribbean, or offer itineraries there.
