Greenberg Traurig’s Mark S. Weprin Named to City & State’s “Queens Power 50” List
NEW YORK (PRWEB) July 16, 2018 -- Mark S. Weprin, a Government Law & Policy shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s New York office, has been named to City & State’s “Queens Power 50” list.
According to City & State, “The Queens Power 50 list honors the 50 most influential people in government relations, business, culture and social services.” Weprin will be honored at an awards reception, July 19 at The Ravel Hotel.
Weprin focuses his practice on representing clients in legislative and regulatory matters at various levels of government. He focuses his representation on the New York real estate industry, as well as important corporate and not for profit organizations. Before joining the firm, Weprin served as Deputy Secretary of Legislative Affairs for Andrew Cuomo, New York State Governor.
Weprin has also served as a member of the New York City Council, where he chaired the sub-committee on Zoning and Franchises of the Land Use Committee. In addition, he held the position of chair of the Queens City Council Delegation. Prior to his election to the New York City Council, Weprin served 15 years in the New York State Assembly where he authored 63 laws and served as chair of the Small Business Committee.
