CHICAGO (PRWEB) July 18, 2018 -- Robert Morris University Illinois (RMU) has been recognized as a “Great College to Work For,” according to the results of the Annual Report on The Academic Workplace conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
This year, only 84 colleges across the nation were recognized by The Chronicle, including 2-year and 4-year institutions. The University received a similar recognition by the Chicago Tribune in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
RMU has 423 employees in faculty and staff positions, serving 3,149 students at nine different locations across Illinois. Robert Morris was recognized for excellence in the following categories: Collaborative Governance, Confidence in Senior Leadership; Facilities, Workspace and Security; Supervisor/Department Chair Relationships, Job Satisfaction, Respect and Appreciation. In addition, the University was also named to the Honor Roll of Institutions as it was highly rated among multiple categories!
“Since its inception, Robert Morris has always considered its number one priority to be providing our diverse student population with the best academic preparation that will directly lead to successful careers. This cannot be accomplished without the commitment and expertise of dedicated faculty and staff members. We are very pleased to receive this recognition – it is an affirmation of the high caliber of employees in all positions at RMU, and their commitment to our students and to each other,” commented RMU President Mablene Krueger.
The Chronicle’s survey results are based upon an assessment process that includes an institutional audit of workplace policies and employee feedback. Faculty, administrators and support staff participate in a workplace engagement survey. ModernThink LLC, a consulting firm, administers the survey and analyzes the results for The Chronicle.
