National Agents Alliance and Foresters Financial Join Together to Support Troops
BURLINGTON, N.C. (PRWEB) July 17, 2018 -- More than 300 insurance agents who are members of National Agents Alliance (aka The Alliance) are teaming up with Foresters Financial™ to help support troops and military efforts around the world through an exercise called “Military Support Mission” with Outback Team Building & Training at The Lamb’s Chapel airport campus on Thursday, July 19 at 1:30 p.m.
The Alliance agents will be in attendance to help create 300-plus hospitality bags for the Raleigh-Durham USO, 50 care packages for Blue Star mothers and additional items for local military family needs. The event is part of Foresters’ “Delivering the Difference” campaign that is geared toward helping give back to communities where insurance agents provide clients insurance products through the Toronto-based fraternal organization.
Knut Olson, Foresters’ President of North American Life Insurance and Annuity, said The Alliance and Foresters share a common purpose to help others.
“Foresters Purpose has always been about giving back and doing more for our members and their communities,” Olson said. “We are proud to partner with National Agents Alliance to help members of the armed forces enjoy some comforts of home while serving our country.”
Last July, The Alliance and Foresters held a “Pack-A-Thon” for Feed The Hunger at The Lamb’s Chapel airport campus in Burlington. This will be the ninth year the two have hosted a “Delivering the Difference” event. The two have a rich history of giving back to local families and communities. They have supported organizations like the American Red Cross, the Boys & Girls Club and KaBOOM!. The Alliance and Foresters have also given back through school refurbishing projects around the world in places like Fiji and the Caribbean.
The Alliance’s motto is to “Have Fun, Make Money and Make a Difference.” The Alliance President and CEO Andy Albright said this event was another way to achieve the “Make a Difference” part of the company’s motto.
“I’m from Burlington and I love holding events that help make an impact right here where I live,” Albright said. “You don’t realize how much of a difference you can make until you do something like this and see that it helps so many people. We love doing anything to support our troops, and this is just a simple way we can help give back. Being able to bring together more than 300 people with the help of Foresters is very humbling, and we are thrilled to be able to put an event like this together on the eve of our ‘Family Reunion.’”
The effort comes in advance of The Alliance’s “Family Reunion,” which officially kicks off on Friday at the Alliance Convention Center. More than 1,700 agents are expected to attend the leadership event, which concludes around noon on Sunday. It is one of two major national events drawing agents from all 50 states and brings visitors to Burlington to bolster the local economy.
The Alliance, an Insurance Marketing Organization that provides life insurance to clients all over the United States, was founded in 2002 by Albright in his basement in Burlington, N.C. The company quickly became the top seller of insurance products for multiple carriers like Foresters, Mutual of Omaha, Columbian Financial Group and Transamerica.
Grace VandeVisser, executive director with the Alamance County Visitors Bureau, said based on basic attendance numbers provided by The Alliance she estimates that July’s “Family Reunion” would generate $566,731 for the city of Burlington. In addition to July’s event, The Alliance hosts a similar-sized event it calls “National Convention” each January and holds 4-6 smaller events annually that draw 200-300 agents from all over the United States. More than 3,600 agents attended at least one event at The Alliance in 2018.
The Alliance holds its events in the Alliance Convention Center, which features three staging areas. Two of the areas called Prosperity Hall (1,710 capacity) and Inspiration Hall (800-plus capacity) offer guests 30,000 square feet of event space, making it the largest event space in Alamance County.
The Alliance’s dedication to its agents, through events like Family Reunion, is one way The Alliance gives back. With more than 150 employees in Burlington and agents in all 50 states, The Alliance strives to help make a difference in the world through community involvement and charitable donations. They support foundations like Duke Children’s Hospital and Brenner Children’s Hospital. In 2013, Albright started the Good Samaritan Bonus program for his agents to incentivize and encourage them to find a charity they believe strongly in. Each month, agents can earn up to $350 based on production and recruiting to donate to charity. To date, The Alliance has gifted more than $400,000 to more than 150 charities around the world.
