Alsana Appoints Chief Nursing Officer
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (PRWEB) July 19, 2018 -- Alsana, an Eating Recovery Community with 10 locations nationwide, has named Lyn Goldring, BN, RN, CEDRN, as Chief Nursing Officer. In this new role, Goldring will oversee and develop the nursing program for all Alsana locations, instituting a philosophy of care based on the Alsana Adaptive Care Model™.
“With her kindness and commitment to clients, as well as her decades of experience with eating disorder treatment, Ms. Goldring is the embodiment of Alsana’s approach to health and recovery, which combines evidence-based treatment with a focus on compassion,” said Jennifer Crute Steiner, Alsana CEO. “She will play an integral role in implementing the Alsana Adaptive Care Model to our nursing staff across the country, and is an invaluable asset as we continue to create an entirely new kind of eating disorder recovery community.”
From the Latin root meaning “all” or “total health,” Alsana’s philosophy of care is centered on clients’ full well-being, addressing the aspects of eating disorders that often go untreated in traditional recovery programs. At the heart of this approach is the Alsana Adaptive Care Model, a five-point foundation that empowers clients to pursue wellness in every area of human experience, integrating medical, nutrition, and therapeutic care with movement and relational therapies.
Prior to Alsana, Goldring developed and implemented nursing programs at eating disorder treatment centers across the country. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree, and is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Nurse (CEDRN) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals.
“Nursing is more than a job for me, it’s a way of life,” Goldring said. “I’ve always believed that developing one-on-one, personalized connections with each client was critical for building the foundation of trust and honesty needed for sustained recovery. I’m thrilled to join a team that shares my passion and commitment to treating the whole person and setting them on a path toward a recovered life.”
To educate the public about Alsana and the Adaptive Care Model, Alsana will host an open house with Crute Steiner, Goldring and other Alsana clinical and medical leadership. The event will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8: 00 p.m. PT on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 913 Bruce Circle in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Alsana offers six eating recovery communities in California, located in Westlake Village, Santa Barbara and Monterey, as well as three locations in St. Louis, Mo., and one location in Birmingham, Ala.
