The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance has released a new video series called Business, Community, Opportunity. This exciting series highlights 10 businesses across the region and showcases the positive impact they have on the community. From job creation to economic development, these businesses are making a difference in the lives of their employees and customers.
FORT DODGE, Iowa, Oct. 4, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance Video series provides viewers with an insight into the diverse community dynamics of the Region. The Video series supports the entrepreneur in four ways; first, by providing information about local resources and support available for starting and growing a business. Second, the Video series offers a behind-the-scenes look at successful businesses in the Region, showcasing what makes them successful. Third, the Video series brings together key players in the local business community to discuss relevant topics and issues. Finally, the Video series provides a forum for businesses to tell their story and connect with the community. Through these videos, the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance is supporting entrepreneurs and helping to grow the Region's economy.
Jeff Haupts, State Farm Agent in Fort Dodge is the sixth video of the series. Jeff started with State Farm when he was in college. This opportunity to help people manage everyday risks led him to make the decision that he wanted to grow with the company. Initially, he and his wife discussed moving to a larger community but decided that they wanted to bring their family back to the area and the business. Jeff commented on this decision by saying. "What Fort Dodge and the surrounding area provides is the connections of a small community with all the opportunities of a big town."
The economic development of the region directly ties into the growth of Jeff's Fort Dodge office. Just recently they have expanded and opened another State Farm Agency in Eagle Grove. Jeff directly contributes his ability to grow to the relationship he has established with the GFDGA through their resources and networking.
"He had an opportunity in the community to purchase a State Farm agency and moved back here. Again the title of our series here is Business, Community, Opportunity, and we entitled that because literally, all of our business owners that we are interviewing are talking about opportunities," states Jill Nelson, Community Development Director at the GFDGA,
Lydia Schurr, Communication Specialist with the GFDGA added, "Opportunity was mentioned through all the businesses. No one in the video series watched any of the other interviews, it was not a specific question that was asked, but it was a common thread. It's so cool that it is something that everyone is noticing and talking about."
The GFDGA encourages everyone to watch the video, along with the others in the series to learn more about the businesses, community, and opportunities that are in the region. The videos can also be freely shared on social media and websites as a resource for job recruitment and business development in the region.
