The rankings are based on 2021 production volume and closed loans. In 2021, Vista Lending closed 957 loans with a production volume of more than $366.4 million. Russell Laing had a production volume of $192.97 million and 503 closed loans, while Sonya Valia had $82.28 million in volume and 218 closed loans.
According to the Austin Business Journal, the combined production of loans in 2021 for the Top 50 Mortgage Lenders reached $5.56 billion for 13,103 loans closed. All loans must be originated and closed under the agent's NMLS ID number. All loan officers listed operate from the Austin area and provided verification of loans made. The Austin coverage area includes Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Caldwell and Burnet counties.
