Nomad 1 is Velotric's most versatile model yet, marrying performance and style at a great price
SAN FRANCISCO , Nov. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today Velotric, established manufacturer of e-mobility solutions, launched direct sales of Nomad 1—a durable, fat tire ebike for all weather, seasons, and terrain. For the month of November only, it is available on the brand's website at a discounted price of $1,399 USD ($200 USD off of MSRP of $1,599 USD). Riders may build their own ride, choosing between seven striking colors (Mango, Cyan, Sky Blue, Spring, Indigo Gray, Sand, and Forest) and two frames: step-thru (for riders measuring 5'1" - 6'4") and high-step (for riders measuring 5'6" - 6'9").

Nomad 1 offers truly adventurous riding thanks to its 4'' fat tires and 80mm of travel hydraulic front suspension, which absorbs bumps for a smooth ride quality, stability, and traction on any road. As the brand's most powerful ebike yet, it houses a 750W high performance motor (peak 1200W) and a 75Nm torque. Even at 15 degrees uphill, it provides a smooth, effortless riding experience.
Every design detail, from the seat cushiness to the handle's position and the frame have been optimized for adventure. The ergonomic design allows for a relaxed straight-back riding posture, and the seat height is easily adjustable with a quick release clamp.

"We developed a battery management system, controller, and powertrain, which are being used in tandem with a 21700 'Tesla-grade' 48V 14.4Ah removable battery made with LG/Samsung cells. Safety is Velotric's most important design philosophy. That's why they certified their battery with UL 2271, which is an optional, higher-standard of safety for battery systems the brand took in order to deliver safe, premium quality ebikes. Nomad 1 was rigorously tested over 150,000 times under the toughest conditions. It can stand up to all-weather safety and features hydraulic disc brakes upgraded from double mechanical disc for trustworthy stopping power in extreme snow and rain conditions, a strong output integrated LED headlight, a rear light, and a cold-weather performance battery. The entire bike is IPX6 grade waterproof and can stand up to rainy and snowy conditions.
Nomad 1 is equipped with the proprietary Velopower System and goes up to 55 miles on a single charge. The 21700 Tesla Grade 48V 14.4Ah battery is removable and replaceable, and a 5-level pedal assist and thumb-control throttle assist helps riders reach a top speed of 20mph. All in, Nomad 1 has 50% longer range compared to similar bikes in the market.
