“Applied Radiology is committed to supporting the field of radiology and is delighted to work with today’s radiology residents, who are the future of imaging,” said Kieran Anderson, vice president and group publisher of Anderson Publishing.

Anderson Publishing, Ltd., publishers of Applied Radiology, a leading clinical-review publication and website for radiologists and affiliated professionals, is pleased to announce the winning authors in the 2022 “Leaders on the Horizon” Residents’ Program, which challenged radiology residents to submit research papers on topics related to MRI for consideration. The following five residents from around the country are this year’s winners.

1. Jordan Chamberlin, MD, Medical University of South Carolina
2. Alexander Satei, MD, Trinity Health Oakland - Wayne State University
3. Melina Hosseiny, MD, University of California San Diego
4. Moozhan Nikpanah, MD, University of Alabama at Birmingham
5. Akarshan Monga, MD, Detroit Medical Center

In addition to their scholarship awards, the winning papers will be published in a special supplement to Applied Radiology appearing in early 2023. The authors of the top two papers will also be invited to attend the 2022 Radiological Society of North America Scientific Meeting and Exhibition, where they will be honored at a special reception to be held at the Marriott Marquis on November 27, 2022.

This year’s winners were chosen by a review board comprised of ten expert radiologists and educators covering various sub-specialties in radiology, and both Applied Radiology and Bracco Diagnostics would like to thank them all for the time and effort they put into this program.

Sponsored by Bracco Diagnostics, Inc., the “Leaders on the Horizon” Residents’ Program champions the next generation of radiology leaders. The program offers residents the opportunity to be recognized for their outstanding clinical research while expanding their knowledge of the imaging industry. This program is a key component of Applied Radiology and Bracco Diagnostics’ ongoing commitment to advancing medical imaging knowledge, leadership, and education.

“Applied Radiology is committed to supporting the field of radiology and is delighted to work with today’s radiology residents, who are the future of imaging,” said Kieran Anderson, vice president and group publisher of Anderson Publishing. “Programs like “Leaders on the Horizon” provide an opportunity for young residents to explore new areas of imaging, potentially having a profound effect on their career and the field as a whole. We salute these residents and are delighted to be a part of their journey.
