Thrilling. Immersive. Epic. When Markus Schulz embarked upon his collaborative X series, it was inevitable that he would turn to one of his biggest sources of career inspiration. He's delighted to once again work in tandem with the trailblazing BT for "Prestwick." The single is out now on Coldharbour Recordings.
As their friendship has grown, Markus Schulz and BT's musical signatures have become interwoven as each individual artist has built upon his own unique sound. Their previous collaboration -- the hit, "I Need Love," released in the summer of 2019 -- is still a smash when played live at music festivals and nightclubs. Schulz later went on to remix BT's iconic anthem, "Remember," for the legendary 'In Search of Sunrise' mix compilation series in 2021. Outside of the recording studio, the two trance music icons have long been friends and remain so until this day.
Markus Schulz x BT's "Prestwick" was inspired by the Scottish coastal town of the same name, a place first seen by many arriving passengers into the nearby airport. The town and its scenic surroundings are beautifully captured by the duo and portrayed by BT's pensive, hypnotic trance style interwoven with Schulz's euphoric, techno-driven vibe.
Tested and proven on large audiences throughout the summer and unveiled during this year's Amsterdam Dance Event (A.D.E.), "Prestwick" is another memorable collaboration between the respective talents, BT and Markus Schulz.
