Speaker Deputy Director Kate Abowd Johnson PhD supports key areas at CMMI of top importance to PHA leadership and members
WASHINGTON, July 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Population Health Alliance (PHA), the industry's only multi-stakeholder professional and trade association solely focused on population health, announced today that Kate Abowd Johnson, PhD of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) will join PHA as the luncheon keynote speaker on October 26th at the PHA Expo 22 in Washington DC. Ms. Johnson is the Acting Deputy Division Director for the Division of Population Health Incentives and Infrastructure at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, which houses the Accountable Health Communities (AHC) and Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) Models. Kate previously led the AHC Model and has contributed to many population health and prevention models and Social Determinants of Health initiatives at the Innovation Center since joining in 2016. Prior to that she worked at Johns Hopkins University, where her research focused on neighborhood impacts on obesity and associated chronic disease, and in management consulting. Kate holds a PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Johns Hopkins University, an MS in Nutrition with a specialization in Food Policy from Tufts University, and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame.
