HONOLULU, Hawaii, Aug. 15, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- To ensure that veterans and their families have the opportunity to achieve higher education, Elias Halvorson created The Veterans of Hawaii Scholarship. This $2000 scholarship will be awarded to four successful applicants, veterans, members, or a military child, each receiving 500 dollars towards funding costs for a private college or university in Hawaii. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must write an essay of at least 500 words describing how military service has impacted them or their families. Submissions must be received by October 1st, 2022, with recipients of the scholarship being announced on October 31st, 2022.
