A revolutionary new wireless custom keyboard that is set to change the game for typing enthusiasts everywhere
HONG KONG, Jan. 17, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Keychron, established manufacturer of wireless mechanical keyboards for Mac, Windows and Android, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for Q1 Pro on Kickstarter. The brand made waves in the keyboard category in 2022 with their Q series, which was the first-ever line of custom programmable mechanical keyboards. Now, they're pushing the boundaries even further by introducing Q1 Pro, the first-ever mass-produced full aluminum wireless keyboard that can be fully customized through the QMK/VIA software (as opposed to keyboards that are modded to have these features). The Barebone Q1 Pro (no switch and keycaps) is available starting at the early bird price of $174 USD, whereas the fully assembled version starts at $194 USD (MSRP $179 (barebone), $199 (fully assembled)).
"We're thrilled to introduce the Keychron Q1 Pro, our latest innovation in the world of custom keyboards," said Paul Tan, COO of Keychron. "We received rave reviews for Q1, but the one piece of feedback we kept receiving was that they wanted the same great features, but in a wireless model. It's no small feat to get a stable Bluetooth signal to pass through an all-metal body but, with many design iterations and efforts from our team, we're pleased to announce that Q1 Pro is ready to be our first full aluminum wireless keyboard. It's designed to revolutionize the way people work on multiple devices."
Q1 Pro offers users a truly unparalleled typing experience. It boasts a full aluminum body, making it both durable and sleek, while its stable Bluetooth 5.1 signal allows users to connect up to three devices at once for seamless multitasking across computers, phones, and tablets. Additionally, the keyboard is hot-swappable, meaning users can easily customize the switches to their liking.
The QMK/VIA software allows users to remap any key on the keyboard and create macro commands, shortcuts, or key combinations. Users can connect the keyboard to any device with a cable and import a JSON file to start customizing their keymap. The keyboard is also compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux, with keycaps for both operating systems included.
Another unique aspect of Q1 Pro is its programmable knob. The aluminum rotary encoder allows users to easily customize the knob for quick access to specific key or macro commands. This can be used for zooming in and out, adjusting screen brightness, controlling volume, selecting video clips or photos, or adjusting the backlight hue.
Q1 Pro is also designed to be easy to assemble, with every component designed to be customizable and adjustable to create the ultimate typing experience. Additionally, the keyboard features a double-gasket design that allows for increased flexibility and better typing sound. The PCB stabilizers also help to provide a smoother typing experience for bigger keys.
Under the hood, Q1 Pro is powered by a new and powerful ultra-low-power Arm chip (MCU) that has 128K Flash, which provides more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz out of the box on type-c wired mode, making it perfect for competitive gamers who need non-existent latency.
Q1 Pro is the perfect keyboard for anyone looking for a wireless and customizable keyboard that is compatible with multiple devices and operating systems. With its full aluminum body, stable Bluetooth signal, and versatile software, Q1 Pro is sure to take the keyboard industry to new heights.
